Famous Last Words

Postby SugarMagnolia on Tue Aug 26, 2008 7:43 pm

I really enjoy the "Famous Last Words" bits in the morning. After Big Jim finishes telling us what age people WOULD HAVE been  if they were still around - and making me feel pretty old in the process - those famous last words make me laugh every time!

I wonder - how long does somebody have to be dead before you stop counting their birthdays? To be fair, he also tells us "deathdays", too. "On this date in 1986, Ted Knight from the MTM show died at 62." (He really did, too! ) Wow - that was 22 years ago - ugh, I feel old again!
Sometimes when the cuckoo's crying/When the moon is halfway down/Sometimes when the night is dying/I take me out and wander around.

I like the Famous Last Words, also. But I thought about this post this AM for the other thing you mentioned - birthdays & "deathdays".

"Today, you would have celebrated your birthday with Ingrid Bergman who was born on this date in 1915 - oh, and look! She died on this date, too - in 1982!"

That's what I heard this morning - and I got a good laugh! (Nothing against Ms. Bergman, of course! )
