Dual Carb Disco LIVE!

Postby Vanderwaal on Thu Oct 09, 2008 7:20 pm

Yep, were back out there. It's me, Van, your friendly neighborhood site admin inviting everybody out to see my band, Dual Carb Disco, Saturday, October 11th, 2008 at the Gypsy Rose on 6th street (right next door to Sixth Street Bar and Grill). Should be a fun show so come on out and rock with us!

Sorry I missed this! For some reason I can't pull up the forum at work. And, I'll admit, that's where I do most of my recreational computer "work"! Y'all have many holiday gigs?

not really. my daughter comes down for christmas so we usually take a break around the holidays.

are you saying that you could bring up the old version of the site at work but not the new version?

good to hear from you again.

That's right. I forgot your daughter comes in for the holidays. What's Santa bringing this year?

I can pull up the new version of the site at work but some of my selections, like the forum, don't work. I get a message at the bottom of my screen that says something like "javascript void". I didn't even realize y'all were back up until the other night. I just happened to have some time on the computer and was going to turn on streaming and realized everything worked from my laptop. If I'd already had my stereo set up there's no telling how long before I noticed.

I see the website is getting more on-air plugs due to the streaming. Has that increased traffic much? I noticed a friend of mine was signed on the other night. This was a nice place to break up the workday.

try going directly to http://www.la105.com/forum instead of clicking the link in the menu. sounds like javascript might be blocked on your computer. what browser and operating system are you using to view the site?

This (^) worked for me at the office. We use Internet Explorer with XP Professional. I thought y'all had just given up on the website & forum - except for the streaming, of course!
We moved to Sterlington and for some reason our reception SUCKS except in certain areas in the house. It was the same way in the apartment we stayed in before we bought the house. The streaming has been very nice. I just wish I had it going in the morning. My clock radio can't pick up the station so I have to wake up to K104. My husband's clock radio picks up 105 just fine - but he doesn't like me to turn it on (or up) until around 7:00 - when he's leaving the bedroom. And those radios are on opposite sides of the same bed!
